A versatile marina complex at the hub of Päijänne

Presentation of the marina

The marina is part of the New Port chain and is divided into two marinas close to each other: New Port Suopelto and New Port Ilola. Both offer safe moorings and wonderful boating routes both to the north and to the south.

Suopelto has 34 berths for boats 5.0-12.5 m long. Boat berths have walkable boat fingers, except at the ends of the piers there are buoys for large boats. The port has lighting, rescue equipment, lockable gates, railings on the gangways, a boat ramp, a large asphalt parking lot, waste management, toilets and showers. The piers also have lighting, electricity and water. The harbor also has fuel distribution and a septic pump-out. A hotel and two restaurants are also within walking distance.
Ilola marina is in a really beautiful and peaceful location, offering the same basic services as Suopelto. The piers in Ilola are old and the berth prices are cheaper than in Suopelto. A real dream harbor for peace-loving boaters. The marina has 62 berths for boats of 5-15 m
In addition to good pontoons, boat mooring solutions and marina services, boaters have a toilet, Suopelto shower facilities, a boat ramp, a waste disposal point, fuel station and a septic pump-out. Boaters can also take a sauna and dine at the nearby hotel restaurant. The center of Sysmä municipality with all its services is also a short drive away. There are no joining fees or other mandatory hidden costs in the ports, such as membership fees and maintenance obligations. Sysmä boaters can book a winter storage space at the New Port Padasjoki marina. New Port Sysmä is a versatile and safe marina complex, where you can find a boat berth for every need, whether it’s a high-quality finger mooring or an affordable buoy spot.

New Port Suopelto offers modern berths. A boat berth with a walking finger for a boat under 7.5 m can be rented for the price of €478 for the whole summer. New Port Ilola, on the other hand, offers affordable basic berths from €318 for the whole summer. Location

New Port marinas are located in a scenic location in Sysmä; Suopelto and Ilola at the junction of Päijänne. There are excellent boating routes from the ports either north towards Jyväskylä or south towards Lahti. The scenic Päijänne National Park, located a short boat ride away, offers the best boating destinations in the lake district of Finland. The car journey from Lahti to the marinas takes just over half an hour, and from Helsinki only just over two hours. Tampere and Jyväskylä are also nearby and within easy reach.
